Chad Nicholson
Owner of originally Scenic Cutz Barbershop, now Scenic Studios . Filipino-American Born and raised in LA — Lower Akron — Born in ’94 with a love for creativity and good vibes! I’m a proud Army veteran, a U of A alum in Mechanical Engineering, and now I’ve channeled that same precision and drive into the barber game for the past 5 years. I excel in all hair textures and can’t wait to meet you in the shop!
Outside the shop, you’ll find me riding my motorcycle, watching anime, or shooting pool as the captain of my APA billiards team. I’m all about chill energy, real conversations, and making sure every client leaves feeling sharp and respected.
Brandon coughenour
Born and raised in Norton, I’ve always believed a great haircut can change more than just your look — it can shift your whole mood. When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me front row at a concert, soaking up everything from pop hooks to punk riffs and country ballads. I bring that same energy into every cut — laid-back, sharp, and always dialed in. Whether you're after a fresh fade, a classic trim, or something bold, I’ve got you covered. Let’s turn the ordinary into badass.
Evan Kersting
Homegrown in Ohio, I began my barbering journey in 2014 and became licensed in 2022. I specialize in detailed fades, alternative styles, and long-hair cutting techniques. My passion for barbering runs deep, inspired by my obsession with skateboarding and tattoo culture, and their ties to self-expression and creativity.
Behind the chair, I’m dedicated to crafting a personalized style tailored to you. Your haircut says a lot about you, and I look forward to helping you make that statement.
Andre Holliday
Originally from Bedford Heights, I’ve spent over 12 years cutting in barbershops across Cleveland. Now I’m bringing that experience and energy to Kent. I specialize in textured hair, and I take pride in making sure my clients leave feeling sharp and valued.
Outside the shop, you’ll find me gaming, bowling, repping the Atlanta Falcons, or cheering on my daughter in all her activities. Big Marvel and DC fan too — so whether you’re into superheroes or just need a super clean cut, you’re in the right chair.
Ed Bankston
Cleveland born, Germany raised. I'm an Army brat turned Kent State alum (’03) with a decade of cutting hair right here in Kent. I’m a master instructor specialized in working with all hair textures and take pride in delivering clean, classic cuts with a creative edge, especially when it comes to beard grooming and styling. I’m also certified in the L’anza Healing Haircare line and love teaching clients how to take care of their hair and skin the right way.
Beyond the chair, you’ll find me juicing, grilling, watching sports, or just enjoying life with my family. Barbering isn’t just a job for me…it’s a craft, a connection, and a way of life.
